Summary
Review of the exclusive masquerade given by Mrs. Orby Hunter on May 6th, attended by nearly 500 people. The report detailsl the "best supported characters" including Col. Cockburn as "an Old Woman and a Jew Pedlar," Mr. Hillersden in the garb of "a Little Boy in Petticoats," and Mr. Edward Jerningham as "a Lady's Maid." [Two MPs are recorded for this record; male infants and young children normally wore petticoats.]
