Summary
Mary Adams was convicted "for burglary in the house of John Oliver, inn-keeper at Wilisdon". "She had on a man's great coat". She was also indicted "for privately stealing in the house of the said John Oliver" "about two months before the attempt to break into the house." Oliver "had sought after her, but without effect until she was taken after committing the burglary." "The prisoner in her defence, stated, that not liking her mistress, she thought proper to leave her service, and that the things being along with hers, she had taken them by mistake."
