Summary
Mr. Quinn, carrying the order of a land-agent, was attacked on the high road by a man dressed in woman's clothes and with a blackened face. Quinn managed to escape the assailant even though he didn't receive any help from the locals present on the scene. "[Quinn] was met on the high road by a man dressed in woman's clothes, with his face blackened, who came up to Quinn and Foley, and desired Foley to go home and Quinn to fall upon his knees, until he should shoot him. . . "
