Summary
George Bridge Mullins was arrested on the charge of conspiracy with the Chartists. The arrest took place a his father's house, where Mullins was hiding upstairs: "Having a suspicion that the prisoner was in the house, [Sergeant Thompson] watched the return home of the father, and then forced his way in with him. He found two ladies concealed in the coal-cellar, and the prisoner was upstairs, attired in his mother's clothes, with a bonnet and a veil on. When discovered he offered no resistance but merely requested time to put on his own apparel."
