Summary

Trial report about the indictment of Mary Ann Dyer, Elizabeth Dyer and Henry Masters for conspiring against James Mountague, an established gentleman of London, in order to accuse him of being the father of Mary Ann Dyer's illegitimate child. Mary Ann is the servant of Mr. Mountague, Elizabeth her mother, and Henry Masters his footman. The report then details the testimonies from witnesses, one of whom mentions spotting Masters cross-dressing: "He there saw Masters dressed in woman's clothes. He tried to speak to witness, but [Masters] laughed, and witness discovered who he was. Ann and the cook then came in. Masters went out, and came in again with a projection in front of him. They pushed him about, and he then let two towels fall from the front of him, and said he was safely delivered. He pulled up his gown in front, and under it there was a flannel petticoat.
