Summary
Mary Pile "tried in mens clothes, which she constantly wears" for stealing from Abraham Abbott, the individual she shared a bed with at a public house: "the traveller appearing a smart dressed young man, the landlady was prevailed on, with Abbott's consent, to let her sleep with him (not guessing at her different sex) and in the night she rifled his pockets, and early in the morning pursued her journey. . . ."
