"Dodd was resolved not to be behind-hand with the Jordan in finery on Saturday--witness the blue sattin waistcoat and breeches--which by the bye, not a grocer's 'prentice living in Cheapside would deign to wear--Pray Watty modernize a little!" [Is Dodd the one in the breeches, and is he the actor James William Dodd? Then this may not be a cross-dressing report.]
