Extract of a Letter from Lewes, Nov. 20.

Summary
"Mr. Ragless, riding officer, at Felpham . . . dressed himself in his wife's clothes" as a "stratagem" to catch smugglers near Ellmore; "being so disguised, [he] passed the smugglers spies unsuspected, and till he arrived at the spot where they were in action." He seized them and lodged them in "Arundel custom-house".
